Education is the best investment and key to life. Our first and primary Project is to ensure that all children in the constituency aceess primary education. This shall be split into two phases.Pahse one will be to ensure all children in the costituency who have attained school going age and are unable to attend school due to luck of uniform, Desk money e.t.c shall attend school courtesy of Asira Foundation. registration shall take place from the second week of January after schools have oppened after which we shall proceed to the second phase whic is to economicaly empower the guardians to this children to be self sustaining so as to ensure that this children continue with their education uninterupted.
As of January this year the Foundation vetted six vulnerable children through a rigorous vetting exercise that had the local administration, teachers, parents and the highly trained staff on the vetting panel. The children were fitted with new uniform and all the monies owed to the school for the year paid off courtesy of the Foundation.
Of the six, one child was admitted to Namasoli Primary School
Two were admited at Ebushibungo Primary School,
And three at Ikomero Primary school.
All these six are under the guardianship of Asira Foundation as we move to the next step of empowering the parent so as to enable them to continue supporting these children and see them through their academic life.
The foundation also supports several youth empowerment programs in the constituency. On the 14th of August this year, The foundation sponsored the Ikomero Talent search that saw up-coming young artist present their talents followed by the finals of a soccer tournament between the Luanda Doho and Ikomero teams where the Luanda Doho team take home the trophy
